Year 1 - High Elms - Wednesday 11 May

Year 1 visited High Elms Country Park to learn more about plants and how they grow. Katie took us walking in the woods and in the fields and we saw lots of different trees and plants. We made colour palettes using pieces of plants, gave trees eyes and invented characters for them, built bird’s nests and made our own plant using parts of other plants we had collected on our walk. We even discussed how our lunches were linked to plants! We were very lucky that it didn’t rain and we all had a lovely day and learnt lots.
