Year 2 - Florence Nightingale Museum - 29 September
'First we went to school and had our snack. Then we got ready to go to Sidcup Station. When we were ready we walked down to the station and we had to wait in the waiting room for twenty minutes, then when the train arrived we chose our carriage, (we were on the same one). Then we got off at Waterloo East, then we walked over Waterloo and Waterloo East Bridge and then went to St. James Park for lunch. I saw Big Ben and The London Eye and then had a run around.
Then we went to the museum to meet Florence (she was funny). She told us about her life and a bit about her family. She told us about her owl called Athena who could fit in her pocket at the museum. Then Florence let us do our activity sheets, we had three questions to do. Number 1 was to draw the plate Florence brought and the one Florence didn't have we had to put the foods in the right one and draw the stove. Second we had to draw our favourite thing. Question three was to look in two pictures, one when Florence arrived and one when Florence had been there a while. We had to tick the items we could see. Before we went to the station we saw Billy and Louise dress up.
Then we went to the park for a run around for five minutes then we walked to the station. The end of a lovely day.'
