Enviromental Clubs
Gardening Club
Part of the session is spent outside, where we are planting and tending to the garden, and if it’s too cold or wet we come inside to make signs, measure our amaryllis and grow indoor plants from seeds and cuttings. All the children also design and decorate their own plant pot and there is a sunflower growing competition starting just before Easter. All activities take place within the school grounds. It is highly recommended that the children bring a spare set of old clothes and a change of shoes is essential!
Nature Club
During nature club, we will be exploring wildlife habitats, fauna and flora. We will be learning about the importance of nature within our immediate environment and adding colour and interest to the school grounds by growing flowers, making wind chimes and bird feeders. We will spend most of the time outside where possible and old clothing and trainers/wellies are strongly advised!
