With full parental consent, an initial assessment from the L.D.D. / S.E.N. Co-ordinator is made. If appropriate, support will be given within school by the L.D.D. / S.E.N. Co-ordinator and/or Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant and may be within the classroom and/or individually, as considered most beneficial.
An Individual Educational Plan (IEP) is made for the pupils and reviews in which parents are included. The Special Educational Needs Department encourages regular communication from the parents and their support with the children’s learning at home and at school.
Should the children need further intervention then further assessments are sought from and Educational Psychologist.
