School Library

Our library holds both the Infant and Junior lending books and reference materials. The library is centrally located and is well stocked with a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books as well as multi-media resources and current affair publications. The pupils follow a colour-graded reading scheme and read daily both in school and at home. The circulation of books is monitored by an electronic lending system to which Foundation and KS1 pupils have supervised access. Pupils in the Junior classes use the system independently and are able to carry out searches and write book reviews. The English Co-ordinator has responsibility for resourcing the libraries, which are administered by a School Librarian. In addition every classroom has a stock of multi-media resources and books that are age and subject appropriate for that particular year group.
