Lunch

Lunchtime is an important part of the school day and all staff and students come together every day to eat together.

Healthy fruit based snacks and milk (if requested) are provided at breaktime.

Food is also enjoyed as part of specialist events such as whole community charity breakfasts and a recent breakfast to celebrate the coronation.

Delicous and healthy snacks are always welcomed and enjoyed by visitors to the school.

All food is freshly prepared on site by our Chef and catering team, from Holroyd Howe who are specialist school caterers.

About Holroyd Howe

As specialist school caterers, we genuinely care about what goes into the food we create. Our chefs nurture direct relationships with suppliers local to their schools to ensure they have access to the best seasonal produce, whilst also having the support of our specialist supply chain team. And sustainability is at the heart of our thinking; always mindful of the ethics of our sourcing and how we prepare our meals.

We take nutrition seriously and understand the impact a healthy diet has on the fundamental years of development. Meals are always freshly prepared from scratch and packed with nutritious ingredients. And to offer a truly bespoke service, we understand creativity must come first. Our chefs have the freedom to create their own vibrant menus made up of classic and innovative dishes as well as authentic international cuisines.

But above all, we understand what mealtimes mean to pupils. We want them to feel at home when they eat with us. Through food education and innovation, we are proud to be feeding independent minds of the future.

We believe in natural goodness. From sourcing and planning, to preparation and cooking, we’re committed to providing children and young adults with well-balanced meals that give them the fuel and nutrients they need to learn and grow.

Our team of registered nutritionists support chefs with the development of their menus, provide expert advice to each school and deliver nutrition education to all age groups, from interactive lessons to hands-on cookery programmes.

We strive for our pupils to have a healthy body and mind, helping schools instil positive food and nutrition habits that will last a lifetime.

We take our impact on the planet seriously. We know that it is everyone’s responsibility to do so. We support every school and their pupils in working towards a more sustainable future. Our dedicated Sustainability and Environmental team are responsible for setting our strategy and working alongside our schools to achieve their sustainability goals.

We offer guidance through our tailored solutions using education and communication tools to promote sustainable behaviour in our schools and kitchens.

Our One World Project, sets out to act locally but think globally, supporting our schools’ communities and wider global projects.
